How to reach to the museum?
The Louvre Museum can be reached by car, bus, or a taxi. By car, start from the Zayed Port Area (Mena Zayed), move towards the signs for Yas Island and take Sheikh Khalifa Bridge and reach Saadiyat Island. From there, you have to follow the signs to Sheikh Khalifa Highway E12 to the Cultural District, and finally arriving at your destination. By bus, you can take the public bus route 94, and head towards Louvre Abu Dhabi (Saadiyat Island). You can also hire a taxi and reach the destination. There is pickup and a drop-off point situated in front of the main entrance.
Are the artifacts from France?

No. You cannot take own food inside the museum. Here, the Museum authorities will not accept food, beverages, and drinks from outside. Its outdoor seating terrace absolutely stuns everyone and gives a unique dining feeling. Likewise, ‘Art Lounge’ is a contemporary lounge bar with an elegant roof-top. Tourists can enjoy their cuisine on an oasis of serenity. Just like the environment, the menus are also chic. Some of the most sought-after dishes are camel burger, fish kibbeh, and vegetarian gyozas. Can we take photos inside the museum?
Yes, photographs are allowed inside the Louvre museum but only at limited places. The tourists can take pictures of the attractions without using flash. To not get into trouble, you can check with the nearby security personnel and prevent a gentle warning from them. When it comes to the auditorium, photography, filming and sound recordings are not authorized at any time during the event. If anyone found violating the rules, he or she has to face its related consequences.
How long will our duration last?
An average time taken for visitors is around 2 to 4 hours to go through all the attractions quickly. However, there is a multimedia tour guide, designed for all visitors to witness the artworks, architecture, and age-old stories of Louvre Abu Dhabi. It is available in Google Play and Apple Store (smartphones & tablets). It is also available in 7 languages, including English, Arabic, French, German, Hindi, Mandarin and Russian.
Can we go on any day?
Except on Mondays, you can go on any day to the museum. Due to maintenance and other security purposes, the authorities have made such a restriction to the public. From Saturday to Wednesday, the place is open from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm, whereas, on Thursday and Friday, it is set to open from 10.00 am to 11.00 pm. One can prefer to go on Thursdays and Fridays and explore all the attractions in the museum and rejuvenate your mind with lots of surprises. Please remember that your ticket is valid only for the day and it cannot be extended for another day.
What are the opening hours of Louvre Abu Dhabi?
The opening hours of Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi are from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm on all days in a year. Here, one can visit the museum galleries and exhibitions throughout the day. The place is filled with historic artefacts, which include statues, pots, paintings, etc. Please note that it will be closed on Monday. Similarly, for Museum Café, Art Lounge, and Museum Boutique, there are separate timings which are opened from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm on Saturday/Sunday/Tuesday/Wednesday, and from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm on Thursday and Friday. The visitors are requested to adhere to the timings due to safety and security purpose.
Do we need to buy tickets for children?
Yes. There is a separate rate for children to visit the museum. Children aged between 13 and 22 years, will be considered as kids and charged as per child fare. For children who are below 13 years of age, they can enter the museum freely without paying any fees. But, they should be accompanied by someone. If not, he or she won’t be allowed inside. There is a museum within Louvre, built exclusively for children, located underneath the dome. It is also open for the public to explore.
